The Social Media Crisis

Facebook and other social networks have proven to revolutionize marketing and brand management for companies everywhere. While this can catapult a company into a whole new realm of marketing, it also has the power to spiral out of control. So what exactly is the protocol for handling those situations? There doesn’t seem to be a How-To guide just yet, but this article we found certainly gives some great examples and tips on how to deal with a social media crisis. As the examples show, you have two very different options. You can run and hide, ignore the problem all together, and thus find yourself in an even worse predicament. Or, you can face it head on with honesty, sincerity and a genuine intent to make it right.
