How to use Twitter: A Twitter Etiquette Tip from Jordana

April 20, 2010

One of my favorite people shared some insight with Thrive today about how to effectively use Twitter as a business or brand. I loved what she said… so I thought I’d share:

” I use it (Twitter) regularly for work and my website. I follow brands that I 1) love and 2) if they have something interesting to say. I immediately unfollow brands that only push out chatter about themselves..engagement is key – important to see interactivity. Best way to explain to clients – Twitter is like a cocktail party. You don’t want to walk into the room and interrupt conversation to talk about yourself…you don’t want to be the random drunk girl dancing on the bar either… :)”
